Kofi Annan Looks Up to the World Game: Soccer

Kofi Annan, the Secretary-General of the United Nations wrote an article entitled "If only world politics could be as well organised as the world game". It's interesting how he compares FIFA, Football's world governing body with the United Nations (UN). FIFA has 207 members while the UN have only 191 members. Soccer, the world game is a uniting factor in this current world of ours, full of divisions and conflict. The field brings people together, it brings countries together. Kofi Annan writes observes people's enthusiasm about The Game, analysing and talking about The Game whereas other "more important" issues are less talked about.
