Where's Smallville on Channel 10 for the Past Two Weeks?

According to Tribal Mind the absence of Smallville from Australian TV for the past two weeks is just so Channel 10 can run some "Big Brother specials and will return to its regular Thursday 7.30pm timeslot from July 6." I thought they killed it because the ratings sucked or because of some thing related to Superman Returns coming out tonight in Australia.
