Battlestar Galactica Final Cylon and Other Theories

Battlestar Galactica: the last 10 episodes: BSG 4.5 are being aired from the 16th Jan

I've been reading the many forums on Battlestar Galactica over the past week (I know... a big time waster). The posting activity is hotting up... especially when the last 10 episodes aka BSG 4.5 are being aired starting from the 16th January 2009 10/9C in USA.

There are many weird and wacky Battlestar Galactica theories coming through in the forums... It's amazing to read the many variations, derivations and interpretations different people can receive from the one source (the TV show). I guess its kind of like religion... one source, many interpretations (i.e. the Abraham rooted religions of Islam, Christianity and Judaism).

Anyway among the list of theories (mixed in with a few facts) about the show here are a few of the most twisted, possible, or wildly crazy theories circulating on the boards about the upcoming Battlestar episodes... (Hopefully this will save you time from going through all the repetitive junk on the forum boards)

  • The "Dying Leader" is not Roslin but the actual ship - Battlestar that dies
  • Roslin will die soon, hence she isn't in the Last Supper photo. Or maybe she is the cylon
  • Roslin was removed from the photo MONTHS after RDM claimed the final cylon wasn't in the photo, so I don't think it's that it.

  • Ellen Tigh is an older version of the "6"
  • Ron Moore has stated the Final Cylon is not in the Last Supper photo
  • They are all in the Matrix type cycle - "all this has happened before and will happen again"
  • Helo NOT the 5th cylon...he has to be human for Hera to be a hybrid.
  • Current Starbuck is a clone from the DNA the Cylons stole from her (the new Viper came from the Cylon's stock)
  • Cavil knew Tigh was a Cylon as he stole his eye.
  • From a process of logical elimination the Final Cylon has to be Gaeta, Dualla, Zarek, Baltar or Roo Lampkin: Gaetta has the best odds, Dualla (even though her name means 'double') hasn't done much in the past few episodes. It could be Zarek, but always seems to side with the humans.
  • 6's baby will be born in the cell, it is Baltar's baby, not Tigh's. Doc Cottle didn't say who the father was. All Adama says is "I've just visited Cottle, the 6 is pregnant." and then he talks about how he hear he has been taking visits and turning off the cameras in addition to making the guards leave and then says "You don't deny it?"
  • The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are in progress: WAR (When Cylons invaded the Colonies), FAMINE (They ran out of food in the ships), PESTILENCE (PEOPLE FROM Sagittaron had a "disease"), DEATH is yet to come... So who will die next?
  • The Final Five have been around for thousands of years.
  • To me, the Final Five had key roles in the Fleet the whole time. They have been saving/moving humanity along from the beginning. They haven't really been in leadership roles, but they have been there shepparding things along. Tigh was the one that found Ragnar Anchorage, the one place they could hide and be safe (for a time). Anders' pyramid team were out in the mountains, miles away from any city, during the attack. Whose idea was it they do that, at that time? Tyrol found the Temple of Five. He resolved the strike on the tyllium refining ship. Tori helped Rosalyn rig the presidential election to try to keep Baltar from getting elected and making the fleet stay on New Caprica. (And who was the one that discovered this you might wonder?)
  • All of the significant seven DO have model numbers (1-6, 8). The final five do not have numbers. The lack of a seventh has some people theorizing that there is another model. Personally, since the "final five" weren't conceived of until season three, I think the writers just got a little "number happy" with boomer. Maybe they'll retcon something in to explain what happened to our "long lost seven".
  • "T" Theory: Saul (T)igh, Galen (T)yrol, (T)ory Foster, Samuel (T). Anders, All have names that begin with the letter T (do we know what Anders' middle name is?): other characters with names that begin with T (excluding those names acquired by marriage): Kara Thrace, Tom Zarek, Tucker Clellan ("Duck")...

Whatever the truth is as to whom the Final Cylon really is, we'll surely find out in 7 days time when Battlestar starts up again next Friday.
