Caroling Letter

It is that time of the year again when friends and family gather to share the holiday season together. Christmas time is a time where we remember the birth of Christ and reflect on the year that has passed.

To share in the festive season the GKY GAT participants are coming to carol in your area. This is a great opportunity to gather family and friends together and to listen to the sweet sounds of Christmas.

We kindly ask for donations for caroling which will be contributed towards the GKYGAT mission trip on 21 January – 7 February 2007.

The Gawad Kalinga Youth Great Adventure Tour (GKY GAT) aims to let the young Australians take part in the transformation of slum communities by living and working with the poor to building in GK Australian Villages in developing countries such as the Philippines and Papua New Guinea. Throughout the two-week “Great Adventure” program, the participants will build and finish at least one home for a family, and interact with the locals while taking part in the multiple facets of GK such as education, livelihood and community empowerment.
The cost of the tour is approximately $2000 per person and your kind donation will help minimize costs for the GKY GAT participants.

When: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays leading up to Christmas
