Runway modelling can be a hazardous occupation. Models often have to wear difficult wardrobes, clothes that simply can't stay on, couture that is too big, stiletto shoes that are impossible to balance on and other hazards on the catwalk. Watch the best five runway model mishaps on YouTube.

This runway model mishap is simply extraordinary. This particular model actually falls through a hole on the runway. The footage of this runway modelling was during LA Fashion Week. The hole was created by by a breakdancing performer who actually broke the runway when he attempted a flip. After the performers had moved off the runway, the runway show started and this particular runway model just walks into the hole and falls straight into it.

This Youtube video has made the rounds... if you've previously missed out, here's the runway model mishap: the professional model falls twice in high heels which were impossible for her to balance. To add to the hilarity of the situation, the video features a news anchor who just couldn't stop laughing at the model's unforunate circumstance.

This professional runway model falls in front of the America's Next Top Model (ANTM) panel and Tyra Banks as she shows off her strut. To add to the situation she also falls off the catwalk as she steps off into backstage.

Not really a runway model but close enough - Miss USA misteps at the 2007 Miss Universe Pageant and takes a massive tumble. I've got to give her points for a quick recovery.
