Aishwarya Rai, a 32 year old, born on the 1st November of 1973 at Mangalore, Karnataka in India is a famous bollywood movie star. She was dubbed by Julia Roberts as "the most beautiful woman in the world" and accrding to the thousands of websites and Internet polls, she is the most beautiful woman in theworld. 1,920,000 pages are fetched by Google when the exact word "Aishwarya Rai" and can be viewed as a measure of her popularity on the web.

I first saw her in a 60-minutes interview about Aishwarya Rai being the most beautiful woman in the world... but I didn't really take much notice of it as you don't see her around too often in the western world. But with the recent release of "Bride & Prejudice" in 2004 (A movie I haven't watched yet) and a recent showing of "Devdas" on SBS, had me look at this star again. You've got to remember that these Bollywood movies reach 5 billion people - twice the number of Hollywood audiences.
