Blog Marco hits a million milestone... and I didn't even see it happen. Since I've installed the Google analytics software back on the 7th April 2006 till today, Blog Marco has had 711,468 visitors come through these very pages. About 5 percent of you came back for more. Where's the million milestone? It's in the pageviews. This blog has served 1,103,197 pageviews to its visitors since that date. Next milestone? The millionth visitor. It'll probably happen in the next quarter to a half year... Time to don the party hat and celebrate this great milestone!

One Year Anniversary

This Blog's one year anniversary just went floating by the other month. I posted up my first blog post on the 21st of August 2005. Since then the number of hits to this blog has been increasing. Blog Marco officially gets about 2000+ hits a day and has 844 blog posts (including this one).

In the beginning I was posting quite a few posts about Programming, but once I had the kinks out of this blog, I was also blogging about my trip to China, record petrol prices in Sydney and the City 2 Surf. But now I've been posting Celebrity photos, YouTube videos and Photography.

Thanks for everyone's support and I hope this blog will continue to flourish. Enjoy your stay.

Marco's Rice Crackers - yum. My mum found this somewhere and had to buy this packet of rice crackers because it bears my name. I was amused for a second. Everyone has an obsession with their name. It's something we have for our lifetime. And this isn't the first time I've taken a pic of something with my name on it. There was Marco Island in Florida, USA. I also have a "Cafe Marco" photo that I took from a Marco Polo hotel in Beijing...

Did you know there was a Marco Island? It's located in sunny Florida, USA. Looks like an island paradise from the map above! So much space, little alcoves to dock your yachts... the island itself looks so manmade. Who knows... maybe one day I can own a place to park my yacht there one day :)

Name Change to "Blog Marco"

Just a notice that I've changed the name of this blog from "News.Travel.Uni.Life.Photography" to simply "Blog Marco". I did this for a couple of reasons: For SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) purposes, so people can find me if they want to. Currently im on rank #37 (4rd page) on the Google search results for 'blog marco'. So I'm simply going to be using "blog marco" as my target keywords for any links I write. Another reason for the name change was simply for practicality purposes: "News.Travel.Uni.Life.Photography" is simply too long. (And a stupid name for a blog, now that I think about it :P )
