Record labels are seen as the big losers from music piracy. While artists benefit from having their music distributed to as many people as possible and are able to reap significant returns from merchandise and concert ticket sales, record label revenue is dropping rapidly as people buy fewer CDs.

Wicked Game by Chris Isaak, Soft Rock/Pop Released 1989. This is music viso is perhaps the classiest of the whole lot. Shot in black and white it shows a coulple prancing around on a beach, getting all touchy-feely. The hot part is when the woman is feeling herself all over and stripping, revealing a butt crack and some cleavage. Towards the latter part of the video the woman is obviously topless and the couple is shown in a few VERY sexy positions. Sexy factor 10/10. Great because it isn't sleazy and is more on the artistic side.

A lot of readers are making even more requests for other sexy music videos. So If you haven't already, go read the first post Sexiest Music Videos Of All Time.

Music videos tend to be on the sexy side most of the time - especially of the hip hop and pop genres. I find that it is hard to find a hip hop video without the sex part of the equation. It's all about the boobs and the bouncing booty now. Back in the eighties it was a different story. Think back to Public Enemy and Beastie Boys. I guess the genre evolved (think 1992 when Sir Mixalot - Baby got Back; I like big butts came on the scene. to include more and more sex until we had this sex glut on music videos. [[Actually I'm kicking myself here - I wrote this paragraph before I did the reviews below - most of the videos here are DANCE music videos]]

Yesterday, my cousin was raving about how sexy was the "I Don't Need a Man" music video from the Pussycat Dolls. Personally I think the music video is quite tame compared to the videos I'm going to be posting. I'll be looking into the sexiest music videos of all time. Here's "I don't need a man" by Pussycat Dolls - sexy enough for my cousin's standards.

Here's an old school hip hop music video from 1990 from Bell Biv Devoe performing a song called Poison. 16 years on and its interesting to see how fashion, lyrics and dance have progressed.

The next video is from a sitcom called "Scrubs" with Turk (Donald Faison) dancing to Poison by Bell Biv Devoe. Who knew this actor could dance so well?

The Black Eyed Peas (BEP) were visiting the Philippines as part of their "Monkey Business" tour and I went along to their concert. It was great... Araneta Coliseum in Cubao was packed with people and the house was rockin'.

Here's my ticket stub from the Black Eyed Peas 'Monkey Business Tour'. They played in the Araneta Coliseum in the last week of July in 2006. The Coliseum itself is famous for the match between Mohammad Ali and Joe Frazier, a match that was dubbed as the "Thrilla in Manila". You can see the price I paid for the concert: It was P3,150 (pesos) which is about AUD$83.

The ABC aired a repeat of the eighth Sydney International Piano Competition which was held from 30th June to the 17th July 2004 last night on late night Sunday television. It showed the six finalists, their stories and their final concerto piece which was played at the Sydney Opera House.

The competition brought together some of the world's most promising pianists. Thirty-six competitors were chosen following world-wide auditions. These pianists competed for prizes totalling over A$120,000, as well as engagements in Australia and overseas.

Details of the selection process, jury membership and other information are available on the Sydney International Piano Competition website.

The Sydney International Piano Competition is held every four years, and began in 1977. The Competition is held under the auspices of the Cladan Cultural Exchange Institute of Australia, in association with the University of Sydney.

JOHN CHEN
Born 10.6.86

John began his piano studies at the age of three and has been learning with Rae de Lisle for the past ten years. He is completing his third year of a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance at the University of Auckland.
John performed the Prokofiev Piano Concerto No 3 with Orchestra Victoria under the baton of Vladimir Verbitsky in September 2003. Locally, he has played with the New Zealand Symphony, Auckland Youth and the University Orchestras. John has also been engaged as an orchestral pianist for the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and has given solo recitals extensively in New Zealand.

We've switched from pinay chicks Vanessa Minillo and Myleene Klass to Korean. Hyori Lee is a Korean Pop (KPop) Diva. Get the live dance video while the link lasts. Hyori Lee went solo in 2003 but was previously a member of a Korean pop group Fin. K.L. (Which is an abbreviation of "Fine Killing Liberty" – which is not entirely correct since the Fin translates to finish i.e. the end) which in the whole means the girl group stands for anything that is killing liberties. As this band was a synthesized pop group, the company behind them chose the name even before they had recruited people for the gig. Hyori Lee was the oldest, which entitled her to be the leader. Fin. K.L. debuted on May 22, 1998with Blue Rain but only hit the big time when "To My Boyfriend" was released. After the group released their fourth album, the group decided to call it quits and go their separate ways.
