Chinese army formation within the Forbidden City.
Actually I don't know if these men were from the Chinese Army, for all I know they could be just security guards from the local security firm.
Taken with a Nikon D70 with (18-70mm f3.5-4.5) kit lens.
Taken from within Tiananmen Square - the view of the entrance to the Fobidden City and the building with the world famous portrait of Chairman Mao.
Photo is tilted a bit - could have been rectified with photoshop - but who cares?

Does this look easy to you? In actual fact these rings were rotating, in the jumper had to time his launch to successfully execute this maneuvre.
If you look closely at the base of the rings you will notice a cord. I think that the cord powers a servo motor that rotates the rings.
This photo was taken at a performance in Beijing. This troupe was very talented. In this particular photo the man was simultaneously balancing on a board which was resting on a pipe which was elevated about a metre off the ground as well as trying to catapult three bowls onto the bowl(s) on his head from the board he was balancing on.
And don't forget about the masked women who surrounded him. (!)
Taken with a Nikon D70 with 50mm f1.4 lens. We were seated on the second level - the balcony seating and it was about 20-25m? away from the stage. This image was cropped to focus on the subject. The camera was probably set to the f1.4/f1.8 range.
Shot this in a moving tourist bus with my trusty f1.4 D70. I noticed that in every two blocks in Beijing, they had these boards that people can come and read the newspaper.
All I had to do was time the shot, as I was expecting another board to come and pan with the motion of the bus to minimise motion blur.
